taco bout a party

the year we became parents of a teenager.

or so it will always be remembered.

emma turned 13 & kennedy turned 9. this year we had a little fiesta at our house with the grandparents. dq gave us the wrong cake, the lady who was supposed to make cactus cookies suddenly disappeared & it all of a sudden felt like the middle of summer sooo scratch that eating outdoors idea.

this year for their birthdays (i love recording these details to look back on), kennedy was asking for a voice recorder & emma wanted an iPhone, clothes, north face book bag, converse, hunter boots, a choker necklace, l.l. bean boots, michael kors purse...you get the picture. she's earning her teenage stripes. anyway, we stayed indoors under the fan & chowed on chips and salsa & enjoyed some ice cream cake. gifts were opened. fun was had. 

april showers bring may dollars...



now to plan olive's first birthday! i've had the theme planned since she was born. :-)
